Tennessee State University outscored Eastern Kentucky University 27-9 in the third quarter to pull away for a 77-57 victory. Tennessee Tech shot 50.9% from the field including 11 of 27 from the three point line. They connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky shot 41.5% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on nine of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Tennessee Tech turnovers.
Kentoria Alexander led Tennessee Tech with 16 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists. Akia Harris added 15 points including three three point baskets and six assists. 6-2 Sr. Lacy Cantrell recorded 11 points and six rebounds. 5-7 So. Kesha Brady chipped in with 10 points. 6-2 Jr. Anacia Wilkinson recorded eight points and seven rebounds.
5-6 So. Teri Goodlett led Eastern Kentucky with 12 points and four rebounds. 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright added 12 points and three rebounds. Shay Solomon recorded eight points, four rebounds, and two assists. Bria Bass and Catie Kaifes each recorded seven points and six rebounds.
