Belmont University coach Rick Byrd started the following lineup: 6-8 Sr. Dylan Windler, 6-2 Fr. Grayson Murphy, 6-11 Fr. Nick Muszynski, 6-0 So. Nick Hopkins, and 6-3 Sr. Kevin McClain.  Eastern Kentucky University coach A.W. Hamilton countered with 6-4 Fr. Houston King, 6-2 Fr. Jomaru Brown, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 Jr. DuJuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson.

Belmont raced out to a 45-31 first quarter lead on their way to an 83-65 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Belmont shot 49.3% from the field including 10 of 27 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 39% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Belmont turnovers.

Kevin McClain led Belmont with 27 points including five three point baskets, 12 rebounds, and five assists.  Dylan Windler added 20 points including two three point baskets, 14 rebounds, and five assists.  Nick Muszynski recorded 13 points and four assists.  6-11 Jr. Seth Adelsperger chipped in with 11 points.  Grayson Murphy added seven points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and four steals.  Jomaru Brown added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Dujuanta Weaver recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.
