Bryan Station vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Bryan Station coach Nimbo Hammonds started the following lineup:  6-0 Sr. Jalen Burbage, 5-9 Sr. Elijah Chenault, 6-4 Sr. Malik Black, 5-8 Jr. James Lindsay, and 5-11 So. Myles Morones.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-1 Sr. Keaston Brown, 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 5-10 Sr. Scott Hersey, and 6-0 Jr. Marquis Mackey.

 

Henry Clay pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 73-62.  The score was tied seven times and there were 13 lead changes in the game.  Henry Clay shot 55.1% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored seven points off four Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 37.7% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Harris Hawkins led Henry Clay and recorded a double double with 22 points and 20 rebounds.  Marques Warrick added 20 points and five blocked shots.  Keaston Brown recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  5-11 Sr. Mayan White chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.  Marquis Mackey added eight points and five rebounds.

 

James Lindsay led Bryan Station with 18 points and five rebounds.  Myles Morones added 16 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.
