South Laurel trailed 30-12 at halftime but rallied behind a strong defense to hold Clay County to 14 points in the second half in a 55-44 come-from-behind victory.  South Laurel shot 42.6% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Clay County shot 40.9% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 19 turnovers.

5-7 Jr. Amerah Steele led South Laurel with 21 points.  6-0 Sr. Dianna Morgan added 13 points.  5-6 Jr. Sydnie Hall recorded 10 points.

5-4 So. Taylor Asher led Clay County with 12 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Kaylee Mathis added 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  5-9 Sr. Summer Parker recorded nine points and five rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Shelby Phillips chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.
