Beechwood coach Erik Goetz started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Scotty Draud, 6-2 Sr. Zach Deathrage, 6-6 Jr. Brendan Hughes, 6-2 Sr. CJ Brannen, and 6-2 Sr. Mitchell Schilling.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-3 Jr. Luke Wedding, 6-2 Sr. John Poulton, 6-6 Sr. Brice Scott, 5-11 Sr. Patrick Geoghegan, and 6-1 So. Ben Johnson.

CJ Brannen hit a layup with four seconds left in the game to give Beechwood a 57-56 victory over Lexington Catholic.  The score was tied seven times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  Lexington Catholic led 36-26 in the third quarter but Beechwood outscored the Knights 31-20 the rest of the game.  Beechwood shot 43.2% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 36.8% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Beechwood turnovers.

5-9 Jr. Cole Busald led Beechwood with 15 points on five three point baskets.  Scotty Draud added 14 points including 10 of 10 free throws.  CJ Brannen recorded 13 points.  Brendan Hughes added seven rebounds and three blocked shots.  Zach Deathrage also pulled down seven rebounds.  Mitchell Schilling added seven points and five rebounds.

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 16 points and three rebounds.  John Poulton added 11 points.  Patrick Geoghegan recorded nine points on three three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Brice Scott added eight points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
