Pike County Central vs. Lafayette (Girls)

Pike County Central coach Derrick Newsome started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Lexi Newsome, 5-6 Jr. Bailey Birchfield, 5-8 Jr. Kelsi Brinager, 4-10 Sr. Cassidy Mullins, and 5-5 Sr. Haley Boyd.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-11 Fr. Anaya Brown, 5-10 Sr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-11 Sr. Macey Goff, 5-1 Jr. Tionna Sanford, and 5-7 Fr. Lauren Walton.

 

Lafayette scored 30 points off 34 Pike County Central turnovers on their way to a 69-32 victory.  Lafayette shot 56.4% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 22 of 35 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and held a 22-2 advantage in free throw points.  Pike County Central shot 30% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Hawks connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 18 points, nine of 10 free throws, five rebounds, nine assists, and 10 steals.  Macey Goff added 14 points and three steals.  Lauren Walton also scored 14 points including two three point baskets.  Anaya Brown recorded 12 points and eight rebounds.

 

Cassidy Mullins led Pike County Central with 14 points including two three point baskets and four assists.
