Kentucky Christian University coach Lisa Conn started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Kamryn Rose, 5-8 Sr. Jordan Holt, 5-9 Jr. Destiny Peck, 5-4 Jr. Sydney Foster, and 5-6 Fr. Abby Benson.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.

 

Eastern Kentucky University held a 60-14 advantage in points in the paint in a 90-35 victory over Kentucky Christian University for their first victory of the season.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 46.4% from the field including seven of 27 from the three point line.  EKU attempted 84 shots from the field compared to 41 attempts for KCU.  The Colonels connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 35 points off Kentucky Christian University turnovers.  KCU shot 26.8% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 22 points and eight rebounds.  Bria Bass added 19 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals.  Shay Solomon recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.  Teri Goodlett chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, 12 assists, and four steals. 

 

Sydney Foster led Kentucky Christian with 13 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  5-8 So. Shelby Slone added 10 points.  Destiny Peck recorded seven points and three rebounds.
