Bourbon County coach Bill Watson started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Kennedy Kelly, 5-7 Sr. Grace Hardy, 5-10 So.McLain Murphy, 5-4 So. Jaycee Goodwin, and 5-7 Sr. Lauren Bentley. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-5 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-5 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-5 Sr. Madison Barnard.
Bourbon County defeated Madison Central by a score of 50-44. Bourbon County led by 22 points midway through the third quarter but Madison Central mounted a furious rally but could never catch the Lady Colonels. Madison Central was unable to locate the long range shooters and McLain Murphy and Kennedy Kelly made them pay by connecting on a combined seven three point baskets.
Bourbon County shot 36.2% from the field including seven of 26 from the three point line. The Lady Colonels connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 37.8% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 20 Bourbon County turnovers.
Kennedy Kelly led Bourbon County with 22 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals. McLain Murphy added 20 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five steals. Lauren Bentley pulled down eight rebounds.
Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals. 5-6 So. Lacie Parks added nine points. Taleya Todd recorded seven points, six rebounds, and five assists. Kelsey Powell added seven points, four rebounds, and four assists.
