Clay County raced out to a 25-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 81-57 victory over Harlan. Clay County shot 53.4% from the field including three of 13 from the free throw line. The Tigers connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers. Harlan shot 34.5% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Dragons connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.
5-9 Jr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 39 points, three rebounds, six assists, five steals, and five blocked shots. 5-4 So. Taylor Asher added 13 points and five assists. 5-9 Sr. Summer Parker recorded 12 points and four rebounds. 5-8 Sr. Shelby Phillips chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
5-0 Sr. Payeton Charles led Harlan with 22 points. 5-10 Jr. Natalee King added 19 points.
