Southwestern defeated Henry Clay by a score of 31-24.  Southwestern got another big performance from Drew Sawyers as he ran for 89 yards and a touchdown, passed for 29 yards, returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, and intercepted a pass to lead the Warriors tonight.  Southwestern recorded 21 first downs and 318 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized eight times for 75 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 15 first downs and 296 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 91 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Dylan Bland led Southwestern’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Drew Sawyers carried the ball 18 times for 89 yards and a touchdown.  Chase Doan recorded 60 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Drew Sawyers completed six of seven passes for 29 yards.  JP Vaught caught two passes for six yards.  Christian Bach added one reception for 11 yards.  Drew Sawyers returned a kickoff for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Barnes led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Xavier Streeter added five solo tackles.  R. Pennington recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Drew Sawyers intercepted a pass.

DJ VanHorn led Henry Clay’s ground game with 72 yards on 11 carries.  Nate Steiner carried the ball four times for 33 yards.  DJ VanHorn completed 14 of 21 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Ramond Jackson caught eight passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.  Jakobi Godfrey added three receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Jakobi Godfrey returned a punt for 19 yards.  Ramond Jackson returned a kickoff for 22 yards.  Mussa Kaluta ked the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Ramond Jackson added five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.
