Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Carter Hendrickson, 6-7 Jr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Sr. Austin Hall, 6-2 Jr. Isiah Hunt, and 6-2 Jr. Will Hacker.  Trinity coach Mike Szabo countered with 6-4 Jr. Stan Turnier, 6-3 Jr. Jamil Hardaway, 6-5 Jr. David Johnson, 6-5 So. Justin Powell, and 6-5 Sr, Jay Scrubb.

 

Kyle Rode hit a basket with 12 seconds left on the clock to give Lexington Christian Academy a 52-50 victory over Trinity.  There were five ties and five lead changes in the game.  Trinity led LCA 24-12 in the second quarter but the Eagles rallied for the impressive win on the road.  Lexington Christian Academy shot 47.8% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 37.7% from the field including eight of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 LCA turnovers.

 

Carter Hendrickson led Lexington Christian Academy with 19 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Kyle Rode added 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Austin Hall recorded eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

 

Jay Scrubb led Trinity with 12 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Justin Powell added 12 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  David Johnson recorded 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Stan Turnier chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
