This was a game widely anticipated between two teams that had not lost to another Kentucky team to this point and was played before a standing only crowd.  The fire marshall mandated that one person could only enter if one person left the building.  The game lived up to expectations as both teams made a statement and it was definitely a game of two halves.  Bryan Station controlled the first half leading 40-28 at halftime on the strength of excellent long range shooting.  Scott County regrouped at halftime and took control of the game with a 26-7 advantage in the third quarter on their way to a 72-58 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were eight lead changes in this game.

Scott County shot 41.3% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 37.7% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Scott County turnovers.

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 25 points, 19 rebounds, four assists, and six blocked shots.  Glenn Covington added 15 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Cooper Robb recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Diablo Stewart chipped in with 13 points including two three point baskets.
