Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman, 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Fr. JacQuess Hobbs.  UT Martin coach Anthony Stewart countered with 6-8 So. Mike Fofana, 6-6 GS Dominique Williams, 6-9 Jr. Terrence Parker, 5-10 Jr. Delfincko Bogan, and 6-2 Sr. Matthew Butler.

Eastern Kentucky University led by 16 midway through the second half and held on for a  78-70 victory.   Eastern Kentucky University shot 41% from the field including 11 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 UT Martin turnovers. UT Martin shot 41.9% from the field including nine of 24 from the three point line.  The Skyhawks connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

Dedric Boyd led Eastern Kentucky with 31 points including five three point baskets and eight of eight free throws, and recorded three steals.  6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis added 16 points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets.  Nick Mayo recorded two points, 11 rebounds, and six assists.

Matthew Butler led UT Martin with 22 points including six three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.  6-3 Fr. Parrish Hewitt added 12 point including two three point baskets.  Dominique Williams chipped in with 11 points. 6-8 Jr. Jailen Gill chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.  6-8 Jr. Fatodd Lewis added five points and eight rebounds.
