Cordia coach Jerry Stacy started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Kalil Harris, 6-2 Jr. Marquis Frazier, 7-0 Sr. Oumar Keita, 5-10 So. Darryen Pringle, and 5-11 Sr. Kareem McDonald. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 5-8 Jr. Cam Fluker.
Scott County scored 39 points off 23 Cordia turnovers in a 91-66 victory over the Lions. The score was tied 35-35 at halftime but Scott County outscored Cordia 56-31 in the second half. Scott County shot 50.7% from the field including 10 of 30 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and held a 22-2 advantage in bench scoring. Cordia shot 43.2% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lions connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals. Diablo Stewart added 14 points and eight assists. 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb recorded 12 points and five rebounds.
Kareem McDonald led Cordia with 25 points including four three point baskets, and nine of nine from the free throw line. Oumar Keita added 14 points and eight rebounds. Darryen Pringle chipped in with 12 points including eight of 11 free throws and four rebounds.
