Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Josie Woods, 5-9 So. Raquael Reese, 6-3 Jr. Danielle Feldkamp, 5-4 Fr. Hope Sivori, and 5-9 So. Regan Berger.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Jr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Jr. Kia Sivils, 6-0 Fr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 So. Ashlee Harris, and 5-5 Jr. Kiki Samsel.

Sacred Heart held a 53-37 lead with 4:57 to go in the final quarter but had to withstand a furious rally by Mercy Academy to earn a 62-59 victory.  Sacred Heart shot 40.7% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 23 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 38.5% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 10 of 20 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 18 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Ashlee Harris also scored 15 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Natalie Fichter recorded 10 points and nine rebounds. 

Josie Woods led Mercy Academy with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals.  Hope Sivori added 13 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Regan Berger chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Danielle Feldkamp recorded eight points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.
