Southwestern coach Chris Baker started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Joe Floyd, 6-0 Jr. Logan Dykes, 6-2 Sr. Payton Cundiff, 5-9 Sr. Peyton Gover, and 5-8 Jr. Hunter Stevens.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-6 So. Michael Moreno, 6-2 Jr. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Sr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 So. Bryce Long, and 6-1 So. Lorenzo Williams.

 

Scott County utilized their size advantage to control the boards in an 89-81 victory over Southwestern.  Scott County led 69-44 in the third quarter but Southwestern scrapped back to make a game of it outscoring Scott County 32-18 in the final quarter.  Scott County shot 43.7% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 24 of 32 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 11 Southwestern turnovers.  Southwestern shot 40.7% from the field including 14 of 35 from beyond the arc.  The Warriors connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 35 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Cooper Watts added 14 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Lorenzo Williams recorded 12 points and four rebounds.  Cooper Robb chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Bryce Long also recorded 10 points.

 

Peyton Gover led Southwestern with 28 points including six three point baskets and three steals.  5-11 Sr. Hunter Cromer added 17 points including three three point baskets.  Hunter Stevens chipped in with 13 points including two three point baskets.  Joe Floyd recorded 10 points and six rebounds.
