East Jessamine coach Jacqueline Coleman started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Abigail James, 5-9 Sr. Savannah Poore, 5-10 So. Jalynn Landversicht, 5-9 Fr. Haley Harrison, and 5-9 Sr. Emma Young.  Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 5-10 So. Isabel Pergande, 5-7 Jr. Sydney Strup, 6-0 So. Lainey Tew, 5-1 Sr. Hannah Brady, and 5-5 So. Dee Dee Wheeler.

 

East Jessamine raced out to a 19-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 57-33 victory over Sayre.  East Jessamine shot 47.7% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 31.3% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 21 free throws, and scored six points off nine East Jessamine turnovers.

 

Emma Young led East Jessamine with 33 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Savannah Poore added 11 points.

 

Dee Dee Wheeler led Sayre with 11 points including six of six free throws.  Isabel Pergande added eight points and five rebounds.  Lainey Tew added six points and two steals.
