Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Leander Ridgeway, 6-3 So. Justin Mitchell, 6-5 Sr. Jordan Houston, 5-9 Sr. JaQuise Simpson, and 6-1 Sr. Isaiah Tisdale.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-1 Sr. William Watkins, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins.

 

The score was tied 49-49 after three quarters but Henry Clay outscored Lafayette 24-16 in the final quarter to earn a 73-65 victory.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 40.4% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 22 of 35 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Isaiah Tisdale led Henry Clay with 26 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Leander Ridgeway added 12 points and five rebounds.  Jordan Houston recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds.  JaQuise Simpson and 5-10 Sr. Paul Price chipped in with eight and seven points respectively.  Justin Mitchell added five points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.

 

Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 19 points and five rebounds.  Jaelin Jenkins added 11 points including six of seven free throws.  5-10 Jr. Chris Wharton chipped in with nine points.  William Watkins and 5-10 Fr. Eric Powell each scored eight points.
