Grant County vs. Scott County (Boys)

Grant County coach Brandon Grammer started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Joey Saylor, 6-0 Sr. Jordan Rose, 6-7 Sr. Mitchell Stone, 5-11 Jr. Zach Tuggle, and 5-11 Jr. Luke Adkins.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 So. Cooper Robb, 6-5 Sr. Clem Damron, 6-1 Fr. Bryce Long, and 6-1 Fr. Glenn Covington.

 

Scott County defeated Grant County by a score of 70-58.  Scott County shot 53.1% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 23 Grant County turnovers.  Grant County shot 36.5% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Braves connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.

 

6-6 Fr. Michael Moreno led Scott County with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Glenn Covington added 12 points.  Bryce Long chipped in with 10 points.  Clem Damron added nine points.

 

Joey Saylor led Grant County with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Jordan Rose added 16 points and six rebounds.  Mitchell Stone chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.
