Frankfort coach Deron Norman started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Brianna Burbridge, 5-8 So. Kaylee Tillman, 5-11 Sr. Jasmine Turpin, 5-1 Fr. Tamara Barnett, and 5-5 So. Ellen Williams. Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 5-10 So. Isabel Pergande, 5-7 Jr. Sydney Strup, 6-0 So. Lainey Tew, 5-2 Sr. Hannah Brady, and 5-5 So. Dee Dee Wheeler.
Frankfort raced out to a 29-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 71-46 victory over Sayre. Frankfort scored 35 points off 30 Sayre turnovers and recorded 18 steals. Frankfort shot 41.5% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on 14 of 27 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and attempted 28 more shots (65-37) from the field than Sayre. Sayre shot 43.2% from the field including four of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Spartans connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Frankfort turnovers.
Brianna Burbridge led Frankfort with 42 points including three three point baskets, 11 rebounds, three assists, and nine steals. Jasmine Turpin added 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Dee Dee Wheeler led Sayre with 13 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists. Isabel Pergande added 12 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. Sydney Strup chipped in with seven points. Lainey Tew recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three assists.
