Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Jordyn Jackson, 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-4 So. Alexis Lutz.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Lauren Boehm, 5-10 So. Peyton Riddle, 6-0 So. Sidney Southerland, 5-5 Fr. Juliette Smith, and 5-9 Sr. Bailey Hawkins.

 

Henry Clay outscored Scott County 23-14 in the third quarter to pull away for a 71-54 victory.  The score was tied seven times and there were six lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 34.4% from the field including eight of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 14 Scott County turnovers.  Henry Clay held a 16-5 advantage in second chance points.  Scott County shot 48.9% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 23 points including six three point baskets.  T’Laya Lyvers added 21 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Nakeisha Green recorded nine points and nine rebounds.

 

Sidney Southerland led Scott County with 17 points, seven rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Southerland was eight of nine from the field and one of two free throws.  Juliette Smith added 10 points five rebounds, and six assists.  Bailey Hawkins recorded eight points and five assists.
