Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson, 5-4 So. Alexis Lutz, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-3 Fr. Christian Gatewood, and 5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers.  Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom countered with 5-8 Sr. Zariah Kavanaugh, 5-6 Sr. Destiny Cozart, 5-11 So. Gracie Baczkowski, 5-5 Jr. Carah Burdette, and 5-5 Jr. J’Lyn Martin.

 

Henry Clay pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 71-59.  Henry Clay shot 46.3% from the field including one of four from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 20 of 31 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 43.1% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Kiya Thompson added 17 points and five rebounds.  5-8 Fr. Destyne Jackson recorded 13 points and two steals.  Nakeisha Green added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

 

Carah Burdette led Bryan Station with 19 points and five rebounds.  Destiny Cozart added 14 points and six rebounds.  5-4 Sr. Ezhaunaai Ighodaro recorded 12 points and five rebounds.  J’Lyn Martin chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets.
