Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Autumn Herriford, 5-9 So. Peyton Humphreys, 5-11 So. Janae Stevenson, 5-5 So. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-7 So. Anaiyah Cotton. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Fr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-8 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-11 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-6 So. Terri Abram, and 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson.
Lafayette defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 61-43. Lafayette shot 41.9% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 21.7% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 22 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Shelbi Wilson added 20 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. 5-10 Sr. Aisha Conwell chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.
Mashayla Cecil led Dunbar with 18 points including three three point baskets, four assists, and three steals. Autumn Herriford added 11 points and six rebounds. Peyton Humphreys chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds. 5-8 Fr. Cheyenne Fullwood pulled down seven rebounds.
