Ryle coach Katie Haitz started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Carly Lange, 5-9 Fr. Mallory Schwartz, 6-2 Sr. Aimee Jump, 5-8 8th Grade Maddie Scherr, and 5-8 Sr. Madison Jones.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-10 Jr. Rebecca Cook, 5-9 Sr. Dasia Kilbourne, 5-9 Sr. Malaka Frank, 5-8 Jr. Princess Stewart, and 5-9 Sr. Anna Arrastia.

 

Ryle knocked Franklin County from the ranks of the undefeated with a 70-63 victory.. Ryle took a 29-14 lead at halftime and survived a second half rally by the Lady Flyers.  Ryle shot 40.5% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The lady Raiders connected on 24 of 32 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds.  Franklin County shot 35.3% from the field including 11 of 34 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Flyers connected on four of eight free throws and pulled down 40 rebounds.

 

Mallory Schwartz was named Game MVP and led Ryle with 20 points and 16 rebounds.  Madison Jones added 15 points.  Carly Lange also reached double figures with 11 points.  Maddie Scherr and Aimee Jump chipped in with nine and eight points respectively.

 

Princess Stewart led Franklin County with 19 points including five three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Anna Arrastia added 15 points on five three point baskets.  Malaka Frank also scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds.  Rebecca Cook pulled down 10 rebounds.
