Scott county coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Cooper Robb, 5-11 Fr. Glenn Covington, 6-5 Fr. Michael Moreno, 5-8 Fr. Cam Fluker, and 5-11 Fr. Bryce Long. Montgomery County coach Matt Daniel countered with 6-4 Jr. Jerryd Jones, 6-3 Sr. Cody Parsley, 6-7 Sr. Shelby Combs, 5-10 Sr. Caswell Fuller, and 6-2 Sr. Art Walker.
Montgomery County defeated Scott County by a score of 67-62. The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game. Montgomery County shot 42.9% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 32.9% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Montgomery County turnovers.
Art Walker led Montgomery County with 16 points including four three point baskets. Jerryd Jones added 13 points. Shelby Combs chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds. Cody Parsley also scored 12 points. Brennan Canada pulled down nine rebounds. Caswell Fuller recorded seven points and 10 assists.
6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts led Scott County with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Bryce Long also scored 15 points including three three point baskets. Cooper Robb added 12 points including seven of 10 free throws. Michael Moreno recorded six points and 11 rebounds.
