Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. William Watkins, 5-10 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Sr. John Williams, 6-1 Sr. Grant Brockman, 6-2 Jr. Bryar Rose, 5-10 Sr. Terique Miller, and 6-1 Sr. Dakota Begley.
Lafayette outscored Madison Central 22-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 72-56 victory. There were four lead changes and two ties in this game. Lafayette shot 45.8% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 23 of 32 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 34.9% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 22 of 41 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored seven points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.
Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Harrison Lane also scored 15 points including three three point baskets. TJ Downey and 5-10 Jr. Chris Wharton each scored 10 points.
John Williams led Madison Central with 14 points including eight of 12 free throws and five rebounds. Terique Miller added 12 points. 5-10 Sr. Seth Richardson chipped in with 10 points. Dakota Begley pulled down seven rebounds.
