Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson Jr. started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. David DeMarcus, 6-2 Sr. Tim Dunn, 6-6 Sr. Deandre Dishman, 5-8 Sr. Rafael Few, and 6-0 Sr. Andre Davis. (Deandre Dishman was limited to two minutes of playing time tonight as a result of an ankle injury suffered in warm-ups.) Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Sr. Darius Williams, 6-3 Sr. Justin Kelley, 6-5 Jr. Dontell Brown, 6-0 Sr. Jordan Lewis, and 6-2 Jr. Taveion Hollingsworth.
Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Bryan Station by a score of 84-59. Dunbar shot 56.3% from the field including two of seven from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 39.6% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Dunbar turnovers.
Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 35 points. Hollingsworth was 15 of 19 from the field including two of three from beyond the arc, and three of five free throws. Jordan Lewis added 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Dontell Brown recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Andre Davis led Bryan Station with 20 points. Tim Dunn added 17 points and five rebounds.
