Union coach Kevin Burton started the following lineup: TJ Jones, 6-2 Jr. Sean Brown, 6-5 Jr. Gerrard Newby, 6-1 Sr. JD Tucker, and 6-1 Sr. Nick Riley.  Eastern Kentucky coach Dan McHale countered with 6-7 Sr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-7 Sr. Jarelle Reischel, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone, and 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins.

Eastern Kentucky led 56-28 at halftime on their way to a 97-66 victory over Union.  Eastern Kentucky shot 56.5% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 25 Union turnovers.  Union shot 36.1% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 17 points.  Jarelle Reischel added 14 points and five assists.  Javontae Hawkins recorded 13 points and five rebounds.  5-10 Fr. Dujuanta Weaver chipped in with 10 points.

Gerrard Newby led Union with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  6-5 Sr. Lonnie Smith added 10 points and eight rebounds.  Nick Riley, 6-5 Sr. Bryan Jones, and Sean Brown recorded 10. 10, and nine points respectively.
