Morehead State University coach Sean Woods started the following lineup; 6-6 Sr. Karam Mashour, 6-3 Jr. Brent Arrington, 6-10 Sr. Billy Reader, 5-10 Sr. Kareem Storey, and 6-3 So. Corban Collins.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer countered with 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp, 6-7 Jr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-2 Sr. Corey Walden, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone.

Eastern Kentucky went on a 12-2 run to break a 49-49 tie and took a 61-51 lead on their way to a 69-57 victory over Morehead State tonight.  There were three ties and five lead changes in this game.  Eastern’s victory and Belmont’s loss tonight allows Eastern to take over first place in the OVC East Division.  Easter Kentucky shot 51.2% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 42.55 from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 19 of 24 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Eric Stutz led Eastern Kentucky with 25 points.  Corey Walden added 15 points including 11 of 12 free throws, four assists, and two steals.  6-5 Jr. Denzel Richardson chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.

Karam Mashour led Morehead State with 16 points including seven of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-2 Sr. Angelo Warner added 13 points and 6-3 Fr. Miguel Dicent recorded 12 points including two three point baskets.
