Scott County vs. Mercy Academy (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Lauren Boehm, 5-7 8th Grade Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Fr. Sidney Southerland, 5-4 So. Britney Ward, and 5-6 Fr. Peyton Riddle.  Mercy Academy Keith Baisch countered with 5-10 Sr. Mackenzie Stovall, 5-6 Jr. Madi Woods, 6-0 Sr. Malerie Martin, 5-4 Jr. Jessica Laemmle, and 5-7 Sr. Hannah Bewley.

Mercy Academy defeated Scott County by a score of 79-55.  Mercy Academy shot 41.2% from the field including eight of 25 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 29.8% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 25 Mercy turnovers.

Jessica Laemmle led Mercy Academy with 16 points and eight rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Maria Schmitz added 15 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Malerie Martin chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.  Hannah Bewley also reached double figures with 10 points.  Madi Woods recorded seven points and seven rebounds.

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Sidney Southerland added seven points and seven rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Alexis Lockard and 5-2 7th Grade Morgan DeFoor also scored seven points.  Lauren Boehm recorded six points and 11 rebounds.
