Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup; 6-2 Sr. Lucky Jackson, 5-10 Jr. Jaelin Jenkins, 6-6 Jr. Ross Jenkins, 5-10 So. Jajuante Carpenter, and 6-0 Jr. Harrison Lane. Franklin County coach Tony Wise countered with 6-3 Jr. DeMarcus Kennedy, 6-3 Sr. Michael Clark, 6-5 Sr. Cooper Giles, 5-7 8th Grade Diablo Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Ryan Schneider.
Lafayette defeated Franklin County by a score of 71-31. Lafayette shot 52.6% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line. The Generals connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Franklin County turnovers. Franklin County shot 40% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Flyers connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored four points off five Lafayette turnovers.
Jajuante Carpenter led Lafayette with 14 points including three three point baskets. Ross Jenkins added 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. Lucky Jackson also scored 12 points. Harrison Lane chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets. 5-9 Jr. TJ Downey added eight points and four rebounds.
Ryan Schneider led Franklin County with nine points. DeMarcus Kennedy added seven points.
