Sayre coach Scotty Sutton started the following lineup: 5-6 Fr. Dee Dee Wheeler, 5-4 So. Ellie Alford, 6-3 Sr. Gabby Bowie, 5-2 Jr. Hannah Brady, and 5-4 Sr. Meg Croney-Clark.  Kentucky Country Day coach Henry Hayes Sr. countered with 5-7 Sr. Kennedy Hayes, 5-6 So. Daria Esenbrei, 5-9 Sr. Leah Miller, 5-2 Jr. Sara Kate Smith, and 5-3 Sr. Sydney Mathis.

Sayre defeated Kentucky Country Day by a score of 53-38.  Sayre shot 45.7% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 KCD turnovers.  KCD shot 36.4% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bearcats connected on two of seven free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Sayre turnovers.

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 19 points and four blocked shots.  Dee Dee Wheeler added 11 points and three steals.  Hannah Brady recorded eight points and six rebounds.

Kennedy Hayes led KCD with eight points.  6-6 So. Olyvia Green added seven points and three rebounds.  Daria Esenbrei recorded six points and five rebounds.  Sydney Mathis added six points, four rebounds, and three steals.
