Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Leander Ridgeway, 6-1 Sr. Colby Barnes, 6-5 Jr. Jordan Houston, 6-1 Sr. Felix Wilson, and 6-1 Jr. Isaiah Tisdale. East Jessamine coach Chris O’Bryan countered with 6-3 Jr. TJ Ross, 6-1 Sr. Hayden Smith, 6-4 Sr. Rashawn Jackson, 6-0 Jr. Camryn Jones, and 6-0 So. Nathan Harper.
Felix Wilson scored a field goal and free throw in the closing seconds to give Henry Clay a 68-65 victory over East Jessamine. East Jessamine led 36-26 in the first half and 49-45 after three quarters. There were 13 lead changes and six ties in this game. Henry Clay shot 39.7% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 41.3% from the field including seven of 24 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on six of six free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.
Jordan Houston led Henry Clay with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Isaiah Tisdale added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Felix Wilson recorded 11 points and five assists. 5-9 Sr. Dakhari Campbell chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
Hayden Smith led East Jessamine with 20 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds. Rashawn Jackson added 19 points including two three point baskets. Nathan Harper chipped in with 10 points and three assists.
