Ballard coach Chris Renner started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jalen Perry, 6-1 Sr. Anthony Eaves, 6-7 Sr. Corey Douglas, 5-8 So. Jamil Wilson, and 5-11 Sr. Paul Schiavone. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-3 Jr. Tay Guyn, 6-2 Sr. Hines Jones, 6-4 So. Cooper Watts, 5-10 Sr. Jamel Banks, and 6-2 Sr. DJ Jenkins.
Ballard raced out to a 27-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 97-72 victory over Scott County. Ballard shot 54.4% from the field including 11 of 21 from the three point line. The Bruins connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 19 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 38.6% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 22 of 34 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Ballard turnovers.
Jalen Perry led Ballard with 32 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals. Perry was 11 of 15 from the field including four of six from beyond the arc and six of eight free throws. Anthony Eaves added 16 points. Corey Douglas recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds. 5-10 Jr. Brian Alvey chipped in with 11 points.
DJ Jenkins led Scott County with 28 points . Jenkins was eight of 11 from the field including two of two from the three point line and 10 of 12 free throws. Hines Jones added 21 points.
