Lexington Catholic has put together another great five days of basketball.  Three of the top ten and seven of the top twenty-five teams in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are entered in this tournament.  They are #1 Anderson County, #2 Elizabethtown, #9 Assumption, #12 Simon Kenton, Tie #13 Mercy Academy, #16 Allen County-Scottsville, and #18 Southwestern.

Many of the top players in the state are scheduled to play in this star-studded event.  Four of the top ten and eight of the top twenty-five players in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are featured in this tournament.  The players are #2 Makenzie Cann (Anderson County), #4 Eriel McKee (Anderson County), #6 Erin Boley (Elizabethtown), #10 Nora Kiesler (Assumption), #12 Morgan Turner (Meade County), #17 Reauna Cleaver (Elizabethtown), #18 Morgan Rich (Allen County-Scottsville), and #19 Abby Owings (Simon Kenton).

The Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview also listed the best players in each region, and the number one player in five of the sixteen regions are scheduled to play in this event.  The regionally ranked number one players are (Region #3) Morgan Turner (Meade County), (Region #4) Morgan Rich (Allen County-Scottsville), (Region #8) Makenzie Cann (Anderson County), (Region #10) Sandra Skinner (George Rogers Clark), and (Region #12) Adison Corder (Southwestern).

I will attempt to provide a capsule report for each game with expanded coverage given to each game I personally view.  Spelling of players names varies from program to program and sometimes the heights of the players are not provided so I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies.
