Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh countered with 5-10 Sr. LaKeena Parks, 5-8 Sr. Lexus Edwards, 6-2 Jr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 Fr. Ezhaunaai Ighodaro, and 5-4 Jr. Shakeema Jackson.
Paul L. Dunbar defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 67-52. Dunbar shot 43.6% from the field including eight of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 37.3% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Dunbar turnovers.
Ezhaunaai Ighodaro led Dunbar with 16 points including four three point baskets. Brooke Todd added 12 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Shakeema Jackson also scored 12 points including four three point baskets. LaKeena Parks chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds. 5-4 Sr. Jordin Fender recorded eight points, five rebounds, and four assists. Lexus Edwards scored seven points and dished out six assists.
Rachel Blake led Lexington Catholic with 14 points and seven rebounds. Octavia Wilson added 10 points and four assists. Caroline Lynch chipped in with nine points.
