Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.  Ballard coach Frank Wright countered with 5-11 Jr. Javonna Layfield, 5-9 Jr. Kiana Richardson, 6-4 Sr. Tearra Banks, 5-2 Jr. Amhery Watkins, and 5-5 So. Alex Martin.

Ballard defeated Madison Central 70-63 in overtime.  This was a hotly contested game with 13 lead changes and 11 ties.  Ballard shot 40.3% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Bruins connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.  Ballard held a 17-8 advantage on second chance points.  Madison Central shot 35.7% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Ballard turnovers.

Tearra Banks led Ballard with 33 points and 12 rebounds.  Banks was 12 of 16 from the field and nine of 13 from the free throw line.  Javonna Layfield added 13 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.  Alex Martin recorded nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.  5-7 Jr. Drea Matchen also scored nine points.

Ashton Feldhaus led Madison Central with 26 points including three three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds.  Larryn Brooks added 21 points, seven assists, and four steals.  Shadae Bosley pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots.
