Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Tony Martini, 6-2 Sr. Jalen Haddix, 6-9 Sr. Jordan Tribble, 6-0 Jr. Matt Murray, and 6-2 Jr. Trent Gilbert.  Whitney Young (IL) coach Tyrone Slaughter countered with 6-9 Jr. Paul White, 6-4 Jr. L.J. Peak, 6-11 Jr. Jahlil Okafor, 5-10 Sr. Ausar Madison, and 6-1 Jr. Miles Reynolds.

Whitney Young (IL) shot a blistering 67.6% from the field and scored 32 points off 23 Scott County turnovers in a 67-43 victory.  Whitney Young (IL) shot 67.6% from the field including one of six from the three point line.  The Dolphins connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 31.8% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Whitney Young (IL) turnovers.

Paul White led Whitney Young (IL) with 21 points.  L.J. Peak added 20 points and Jahlil Okafor chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Trent Gilbert led Scott County with 15 points including three three point baskets.  5-11 Jr. Seth Crank added 10 points.
