Madison Central  vs.  Collins (Boys)

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-3 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 6-1 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins.  Collins coach Chris Gaither countered with 6-4 Sr. Dez Marshall, 6-0 So. Brent Kidwell, 6-6 Sr. Terez Smith, 6-1 Jr. Lawson Page, and 5-9 Sr. Buddy Johnson.

Madison Central defeated Collins by a score of  70-59.  There were 11 lead changes and 10 ties in this hotly contested game.  Madison Central shot 38.5% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Collins turnovers.  Madison Central held a 16-2 advantage in second chance points and attempted 26 more shots (65-39) from the field than Collins.  Collins shot 48.7% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored five points off six Madison Central turnovers.

5-10 Sr. George Walker came off the bench to lead Madison Central with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Walker was six of eight from the field including three of five from beyond the arc and four of four free throws.  Quan Taylor added 17 points and eight rebounds.  Dominique Hawkins chipped in with 14 points.

Dez Marshall led Collins with 31 points including three three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  Marshall was 11 of 13 from the field including three of three from the three point line and six of nine free throws.  Terez Smith added 10 points and six rebounds and 6-3 Jr. Ralphael Stone chipped in with nine points.
