Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Trey Grundy, 6-4 Jr. Jordan Green, 6-2 Sr. Gerrard Newby, 6-1 So. Jeremiah Tisdale, and 6-0 Jr. Christian Cunningham.  Tates Creek coach Wayne Breeden countered with 6-4 Sr. Braxton McFarland, 6-1 Sr. Vincent Mattox, 6-5 So. Jordan Fucci, 5-11 Sr. Landon Love, and 5-11 So. Desmond Duke.

Henry Clay raced out to a 17-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 70-46 victory over Tates Creek.  Henry Clay shot 54.5% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 37.2% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Commodores connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

6-0 Jr. Teddy Ware led Henry Clay with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Ware was five of six from the field including four of five from beyond the arc and two of two from the free throw line.  Christian Cunningham added 14 points and 10 assists.  Trey Grundy scored 12 points.  Jordan Green chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.  6-5 Sr. Darien Tichenor scored six points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Jordan Fucci led Tates Creek with 11 points and eight rebounds.  Vincent Mattox added 10 points including two three point baskets.
