Anderson County improved their record to 4-1 with a 27-8 victory over Montgomery County who falls to 4-1 for the season.  Anderson County recorded 23 first downs and 472 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized 11 times for 117 yards.  Montgomery County recorded eight first downs and 185 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 37 yards and lost a fumble.

Granville Hayes led Anderson County’s ground attack with 126 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Zach Carmichael carried the ball 14 times for 80 yards.  Zach Carmichael completed 17 of 25 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns.  Granville Hayes caught 10 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.  Dusty Puckett added 63 yards and a touchdown on four receptions.  Ross Cox caught two passes for 46 yards.  Nathan Cox led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Huston Page added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Ross Cox recorded three solo tackles.

Blake Preston led Montgomery County’s ground game with 20 yards on six carries.  Matt Tuttle completed 14 of 22 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown.  Lance Lockridge caught four passes for 47 yards.  Joe Chism added three receptions for 45 yards.  Chas Newkirk caught three passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Chas Newkirk led the defense with 11 solo and eight assisted tackles.  Blake Preston added five solo and 10 assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Aaron Botts added seven solo and four assisted tackles.
