Trinity advanced to the state championship game with a 28-9 victory over Ryle. Trinity recorded 15 first downs and 339 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized 12 times for 100 yards. Ryle recorded 14 first downs and 206 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 21 yards and had two passes intercepted.
D. Bishop led Trinity’s ground attack with 171 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. T. Wright completed eight of 14 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown. J. Quick caught six passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. R. White led the defense with six solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and one interception. T. Sugg added six solo tackles.
T. Elliott led Ryle’s ground game with 73 yards on 14 carries. C. Hempel completed 15 of 29 passes for 117 yards with two interceptions. C. Lonkard caught six passes for 46 yards. T. Elliott led the defense with seven solo tackles. D. Mullens added five solo and one assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 21 yards.
