Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-1 jr Jared Pyatt, 6-0 Jr. Brenton Covington, 6-2 Jr. Nick Ford, 5-10 So. Casey Schneider, and 6-0 Fr. Dominique Hawkins. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with Mikal Pinder, 6-0 Jr. Brandon Nichols, 6-5 Jr. Daniel Kiesling, 5-10 Jr. Marquel Johnson, and 5-8 So. Wes Kimball.
Henry Clay led 39-33 at halftime, outscored Madison Central 26-7 in the third quarter, and pulled away for a 79-48 victory. Henry Clay shot 51.9% from the field including sevn of 20 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers. Madison central shot 38.3% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.
Daniel Kiesling led Henry Clay with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Marquel Johnson also recorded 16 points including four three point baskets. 5-11 Sr. Dominique Smith and Tyrell Johnson added 11 and 10 points respectively.Wes Kimball recorded a game-high eight assists. Brandon Nichols added eight points, six rebounds, and four steals.
Brenton Covington led Madison Central with 15 points. Dominique Hawkins added 14 points. Nick Ford chipped in with 11 points nd six rebounds.
