Thursday March 4th (Quarterfinals)

 

Assumption vs. Butler

 

Butler defeated Assumption by the score of 56-39.  Butler shot 32.9% from the field including zero of four from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on 10 of 15 free throws and pulled down 39 rebounds.  Assumption shot 39.5% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on five of nine free throws and pulled down 23 rebounds.

 

5-7 Sr. Dynastee White led Butler with 22 points including four of five free throws.  5-10 Sr. Tiarra East added 16 points including four of five free throws and pulled down 15 rebounds.

 

5-6 So. Camryn Poole led Assumption with 10 points.  5-5 Fr. Zoe Thompson and 5-4 Fr. Geriann Ackerman added nine and seven points respectively.  5-9 Jr. Nia Gondolfo recorded three points and six rebounds.

Pleasure Ridge Park vs. Sacred Heart Academy

 

Sacred Heart raced out to a 27-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 56-20 victory over Pleasure Ridge Park.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 52.1% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on two of nine free throws and pulled down 20 rebounds.  Pleasure Ridge Park shot 25.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  They connected on two of two free throws and pulled down 25 rebounds.

 

5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin led Sacred Heart with 16 points on eight of nine field goals and five rebounds.  5-8 Fr. Reagan Bender added nine points and 5-11 Fr. Angelina Pelayo recorded eight points.  5-5 So. Trinity Ralston chipped in with seven points and four rebounds and 5-6 Sr. Maggie Montano added six points on two three point baskets.

 

5-8 Sr. Jordan Scroggins led Pleasure Ridge Park with eight points including two three point baskets and two of two free throws.  5-10 Fr. Jennae Bolin added six points and six rebounds.

Eastern vs. Bullitt East

 

Bullitt East defeated Eastern by the score of 65-24.  Bullitt East shot 46.7% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Chargers connected on four of seven free throws and pulled down 14 rebounds.  Eastern shot 17.5% from the field including one of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 10 free throws and pulled down 11 rebounds.

 

5-8 Jr. Emma Egan led Bullitt East with 15 points.  6-6 Jr. Gracie Merkle added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Selena Grenado recorded eight points including two three point baskets.  5-4 Sr. Lexi Starr chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.  5-7 8th Grade Madeline Curtsinger pulled down six rebounds.

 

5-11 Jr. Makenna Wilson led Eastern with 13 points including four of four free throws.  5-7 7th Grade Brianna Wilkins added nine points including five of six free throws.  5-9 So. Ava Foos pulled down six rebounds.

Christian Academy of Louisville vs. Mercy Academy

 

6-1 So. Emma Barnett scored all eight points of the night including two three point baskets in the final quarter to lead Mercy Academy to a 49-47 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville.  Mercy shot 34% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on seven of 16 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  CAL shot 30.4% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Centurions connected on nine of 20 free throws and pulled down 39 rebounds.

 

6-0 So. Amy Thompson led Mercy Academy with 11 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  5-8 So. Mary Smith added 10 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  5-7 So. Pace Rickard recorded nine points on two three point baskets.  6-1 So. Emma Barnett chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.

 

5-7 Jr. Jaya McClure led CAL with 18 points including four of seven free throws and five rebounds.  5-6 Fr. Savannah Gardner added nine points and 13 rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Delaney Gardner recorded five points and seven rebounds.

Butler vs. Sacred Heart Academy

 

Butler coach Wyatt Foust started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Tiarra East, 5-8 Sr. Leslie Baxter, 6-1 Jr. Tamesha Dozier, 5-3 Sr. Chardrea Satori, and 5-7 Sr. Dynastee White.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Fr. Angelina Pelayo, 5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin, 6-0 Jr. Alex Wolff, 5-5 So. Triniti Ralston, and 5-6 Sr. Maggie Montano.

 

Butler led 32-29 after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter for a 52-40 victory over Sacred Heart Academy.  The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes in this game.  Butler shot 40.5% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 24 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 27.8% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 21 Butler turnovers.

 

Tiarra East led Butler with 24 points including nine of 13 free throws, five rebounds, and six steals.  5-4 Fr. Aniya Haskins added 10 points and four rebounds.  Dynastee White recorded eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  5-9 Sr. Khia Shelburne pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Triniti Ralston led Sacred Heart with 14 points including five of nine free throws and five steals.  Josie Gilvin added 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  5-8 Fr. Reagan Bender recorded 10 points including five of six free throws and four rebounds.  Alex Wolff pulled down seven rebounds.

Mercy Academy George Washington Jr. started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Emma Barnett, 6-0 So. Amy Thompson, 6-5 Fr. Ramiya White, 5-7 So. Pace Rickard, and 5-8 So. Mary Smith.  Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings countered with 5-9 Sr. Selena Granado, 5-8 So. Lilly Reid, 6-6 Jr. Gracie Merkle, 5-4 Sr. Lexi Starr, and 5-8 Jr. Emma Egan.

 

Bullitt East defeated Mercy Academy by the score of 65-43.  Bullitt East shot 40.4% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Chargers connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy shot 21.7% from the field including four of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Bullitt East turnovers.

 

Selena Granado led Bullitt East with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Emma Egan added 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.  Gracie Merkle recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  5-8 Sr. Reagan Reid chipped in with seven points.  Lilly Reid recorded three points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

Mary Smith led Mercy Academy with 12 points including two three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Amy Thompson added nine points and nine rebounds.  Emma Barnett recorded eight points and seven rebounds.  6-2 Fr. Mariah Knight chipped in with seven points and two rebounds.  Ramiya White pulled down eight rebounds and blocked two shots.

Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Selena Granado, 5-8 So. Lilly Reid, 6-6 Jr. Gracie Merkle, 5-4 Sr. Lexi Starr, and 5-8 Jr. Emma Egan.  Butler coach Wyatt Foust countered with 5-10 Sr. Tiarra East, 5-8 Sr. Leslie Baxter, 6-1 Jr. Tamesha Dozier, 5-3 Sr. Chardrea Satori, and 5-7 Sr. Dynastee White

 

Bullitt East led 27-11 in the second quarter on their way to a 58-50 victory over Butler.  Bullitt East shot 39.2% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Chargers connected on 16 of 29 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 40.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Bullitt East turnovers.

 

Gracie Merkle led Bullitt East with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Lilly Reid added nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Emma Egan recorded eight points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Lexi Starr chipped in with seven points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 

 

Dynastee White led Butler with 16 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Leslie Baxter added 14 points on five of six from the field and three of three from the free throw line.  Tiarra East recorded nine points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Chardrea Satori chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.
