Simon Kenton coach Jeffrey Stowers started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Morgan Stamper, 5-9 Sr. Mattie Vickers, 6-0 So. Sereniti Webb, 5-6 Sr. Maggi Jones, and 5-7 Jr. Kady Schawe.  Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. countered with 5-9 8th Grade Ava Schureman, 5-7 So.Timothi Williams, 6-0 Fr. Raegan Barrett, 5-1 Jr. Braylee McMath, and 5-7 So. Rachel Smith.

 

Simon Kenton raced out to a 30-9 first quarter lead on their way to a 74-54 victory over Great Crossing.  Simon Kenton shot 43.5% from the field including nine of 31 from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 18 Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 33.3% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Warhawks connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Simon Kenton turnovers.

 

Maggi Jones led Simon Kenton with 19 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals.  Mattie Vickers added 17 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.  Morgan Stamper recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.  Sereniti Webb chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

 

Timothi Williams led Great Crossing with 15 points including eight of eight free throws, and seven rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Hailey Ward added 12 points on four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Raegan Barrett recorded 10 points.  Braylee McMath chipped in with five points, eight assists, and three steals.

Will Stanfield hit a layup with 27 seconds left on the clock to give Lafayette a 57-56 lead but Great Crossing had a last second shot roll off the rim ensuring the victory for the Generals.  There were 10 lead changes and three ties in this game.  Lafayette shot 44% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 42% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Warhawks connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Ray Surratt led Lafayette with 19 points and seven rebounds.  Will Stanfield added 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Shawn Perkins recorded nine points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Trinity Shearer, 5-9 Jr. Haleigh Releford, 5-10 Jr. Savannah Robbins, 5-8 So. Scott County outscored Lincoln County 26-13 in the final quarter to earn an 83-71 come-from-behind victory over the Lady Patriots.  The score was tied three times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Scott County shot 47.8% from the field including 11 of 30 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 39.4% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 34 points including six three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, nine assists, and four steals.  Malea Williams added 26 points including two three point baskets, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Kenady Tompkins recorded 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and five blocked shots.

Terrin Hamilton led Scott County with 32 points including five three point baskets, 11 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, and four steals.  Aaron Leake added 17 points, four assists, and four steals.  Chase Grigsby recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Elias Richardson chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Marion County outscored Wayne County 32-19 in the third quarter on their way to a 94-84 victory over the Cardinals.  There were three ties and nine lead changes in this game.  Marion County shot 65.5% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Wayne County turnovers.  Wayne County shot 62.7% from the field including 12 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 11 rebounds, and scored four points off seven Marion County turnovers.

 

Jamison Epps led Marion County with 28 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  John Adams added 27 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Tyshay Epps recorded 23 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and eight assists.  Mason Sullivan chipped in with 10 points on five of five from the field.

 

6-4 Sr. Thomas Spencer led Wayne County with 32 points including two three point baskets, and six of 11 free throws.  Kameron Gehring added 23 points including five three point baskets and seven assists.  Bryson Tucker recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Mason Burchett chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets.

Frederick Douglass captured a triple overtime 87-86 victory over Lafayette.  Frederick Douglass held a 39-26 lead in the first half but had to survive a furious Lafayette rally to earn the victory.  There were six ties and three lead changes in this game.  Frederick Douglass shot 45.1% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 47.5% from the field including 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers.
