There were 23 teams entered in this tournament and were placed into seven pools as follows:  Pool A: Casey County, Northern Middle School-Lady Maroons, and Dorton Lady Cats, Pool B: McCreary County Middle School, King Middle School-Mercer County, and RW Combs Lady Mustangs, Pool C: Old Kentucky Home, Hindman Elementary, and Southern Pulaski Warriors, Pool D: Meece Middle School (Somerset), Morton, and Johnson Jaguars, Pool E: Lincoln County Middle School, Eastside, and Elkhorn Middle School, Pool F: Bloomfield Lady Blazers, Whitley County, and Rockcastle County Lady Rockets, and Pool G: Beaumont Middle, Clay County, Georgetown Middle, Menifee County, and Paris.

Kallie Housley (Whitley County), Courtney Hoskins (RW Combs Lady Mustangs), and Brionna Byars (Paris).

 

All Tournament Team 2nd Team – Kennedy Creekmore (McCreary County Middle School), Abby Maggard (Hindman Elementary), Ka’Niah Edelen (Johnson Jaguars), Payton Acey (Meece Middle School – Somerset), Jayci Bell (McCreary County Middle School), Kinsey Molden (Southern Pulaski Warriors), Madison Curry (Clay County), Lilly Reid (Eastside), Chelsea Proffitt (RW Combs Lady Mustangs), and Sasha Thomas (Johnson Jaguars).

 

King Middle School-Mercer County finished 6-0 for the tournament with an average victory margin of 16.5 ppg.  King won their pool games with a 44-19 victory over McCreary County Middle School 44-19 and a 44-33 victory over RW Combs Lady Mustangs.  King captured their first tournament game with a 44-12 victory over Georgetown Middle, defeated Clay County 48-31 in a quarterfinal game, won 40-24 over Meece Middle School (Somerset) in a semifinal contest and captured the championship with a 43-35 victory over Casey County.  Elkhorn Middle School captured the Gold Division Championship with a 35-24 victory over McCreary County Middle School.
