Bryan Station vs. Henry Clay (Girls)

 

Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-6 Fr. Kyrah Hardin, 5-6 Jr. Brittany White, 5-9 Sr. Briana Williams, 5-3 Sr. Zaria Elery, and 5-5 So. Carah Burdette.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Jr. Anovia Byars, 5-6 Sr. Jazmine Richmond, 5-10 Jr. Nakeisha Green, 5-6 Jr. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-6 Sr. Destiny Carter.

 

Henry Clay raced out to a 10-1 lead after the first quarter on their way to a 62-37 victory over Bryan Station.  Henry Clay shot 35.7% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on eight of 23 from the free throw line, pulled down 62 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Bryan Station turnovers.  Henry Clay attempted 22 more shots (70-48) from the field than Bryan Station.  Bryan Station shot 22.9% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on 15 of 33 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored eight points off 22 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Destiny Carter led Henry Clay with 17 points including three three point baskets and four steals.  Kennedy Coney added 10 points.  5-10 Jr. Jordyn Jackson chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.  Nakeisha Green recorded six points and 15 rebounds.  T’Laya Lyvers added six points, 10 rebounds, and five steals.

 

Carah Burdette led Bryan Station with 14 points and eight rebounds.  Zaria Elery added 13 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Sayre coach Rob Goodman started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Jake Duby, 6-2 Jr. Jack Henderson, 6-7 Sr. Quinn Pergande, 5-10 So. Robbie Goodman, and 6-2 Sr. Alex Webb.  Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson countered with 6-3 Sr. Tequan Claitt, 6-1 Sr. Josh Owsley, 6-5 Jr. Deandre Dishman, 6-0 Jr. Andre Davis, and 6-0 Sr. CJ Walker.

 

Bryan Station led 23-9 after the first quarter on their way to a 67-38 victory over Sayre.  Bryan Station shot 50% from the field including eight of 26 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on five of 14 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 28.9% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Andre Davis led Bryan Station with 17 points and four rebounds.  CJ Walker added 12 points.  Josh Owsley recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.

 

Quinn Pergande led Sayre with 14 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Jake Duby added nine points and 6-1 So. Will Newton chipped in with eight points.

Scott County vs. Sayre (Girls)

 

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Lauren Boehm, 5-7 8th Grade Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Fr. Sidney Sutherland, 5-3 8th Grade Juliette Smith, and 5-6 Fr. Peyton Riddle.  Sayre coach Scott Sutton countered with 5-10 Fr. Isabel Pergande, 5-6 Fr. Dee Dee Wheeler, 6-3 Sr. Gabby Bowie, 5-4 So. Ellie Alford, and 5-4 Sr. Meg Croney-Clark.

 

Scott County defeated Sayre by a score of 71-34.  Scott County shot 38.7% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 30 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 31.7% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on seven of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

 

Lauren Boehm led Scott County with 19 points and seven rebounds.  5-2 7th Grade Morgan DeFoor added 12 points.  Peyton Riddle recorded nine points on three three point baskets and five assists.  Juliette Smith chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 10 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Ellie Alford added nine points.

Cooper Robb, and 5-10 Sr. Jamel Banks.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Colby Barnes, 6-1 Jr. Isaiah Tisdale, 6-5 Jr. Jordan Houston, 5-9 Sr. Dakhari Campbell, and 6-1 Sr. Felix Wilson.

 

Henry Clay defeated Scott County by a score of 70-62.  The score was tied six times and there were 10 lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 47.4% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 12 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 42.4% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Felix Wilson led Henry Clay with 21 points.  Isaiah Tisdale added 20 points and five assists.  Jordan Houston recorded 18 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Colby Barnes pulled down nine rebounds.  6-3 Jr. Leander Ridgeway chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, and four steals.

 

Clarien Washington led Scott County with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Isaiah Johnson added 15 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Jamel Banks chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.  Cooper Robb recorded nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Hines Jones also scored nine points.

Henry Clay outscored Scott County 27-7 in the second quarter on their way to a 67-41 victory.  Henry Clay’s ball hawking defense forced 32 turnovers and recorded 21 steals.  Henry Clay shot 36.6% from the field including two of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 33 points off 32 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 27.8% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

5-5 Sr. Kennedy Coney led Henry Clay with 14 points and four steals.  T’Laya Lyvers added 11 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Destiny Carter chipped in with 10 points.  5-6 Sr. Jazmine Richmond recorded nine points and four steals.

 

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 12 points including two three point baskets.  Sidney Sutherland added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Juliette Smith recorded eight points and six rebounds.  Lauren Boehm pulled down 11 rebounds.

Henry Clay defeated Bryan Station by a score of 65-58.  The score was tied twice and there were eight lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 45.3% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 30.6% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Jordan Houston led Henry Clay with 23 points and nine rebounds.  Houston was 10 of 11 from the field and three of five from the free throw line.  Isaiah Tisdale added 19 points.  Colby Barnes recorded eight points and 13 rebounds.

 

Andre Davis led Bryan Station with 23 points including four three point baskets.  Deandre Dishman added 13 points and 12 rebounds.  CJ Walker recorded 12 points and six rebounds.  Tequan Claitt chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.
