West Carter (4-10) vs. Lexington Christian Academy (11-4)

West Carter Coach Von Perry started the following lineup: 5-8 8th grader Paige Tackett, 5-8 Sr. Sydnie Cox, 5-11 Jr. Monica Stevens, 5-4 Jr. Lauren Carper, and 5-5 So. Brittany Oney. Lexington Christian Academy Coach Jason Semands countered with 6-0 So. Sarah Beth Barnette, 5-9 Jr. Anna Martin, 6-1 Jr. Clara Mitchell, 5-10 Jr. Courtney Clifton, and 5-6 Sr. Hillary Thornton.

LCA led 26-20 at halftime but outscored West Carter 28-7 in the third quarter on their way to a 72-49 victory. LCA scored 31 points off 24 West Carter turnovers.

LCA shot 50% from the field including only three of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 15 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds. West Carter shot 33.3% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Comets connected on 12 of 21 free throws, grabbed 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 LCA turnovers.

Anna Martin led Lexington Christian Academy with 22 points nine assists, and six steals. Clara Mitchell added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney Clifton chipped in with 14 points and five assists. Sarah Beth Barnette recorded 11 points and eight rebounds. Monica Stevens led West Carter with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals. 5-10 Fr. Kristin Perry added 12 points.
