Mason County (15-3) vs. Lexington Catholic (17-2)

Mason County Coach Chris O'Hearn started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Darius Miller, 6-7 Sr. Trevor Setty, 6-2 Jr. Keith Downing, 6-3 Sr. Ethan King, and 6-4 Jr. Russ Middleton. Lexington Catholic Coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Taylor Stewart, 6-6 Sr. Jordan Smart, 6-5 Sr. Nathan Novosel, 6-3 Jr. Taylor Botkin, and 6-3 Jr. Vee Sanford.

Mason County rallied from a 64-53 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic 74-73. Darius Miller led the comeback with 11 fourth quarter points including the game-winning shot in the lane at the buzzer. There were 17 lead changes and 13 ties in the game.

Mason County shot 37.3% from the field including nine of 29 from the three point line. The Royals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 44.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 20 of 29 free throws, grabbed 41 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 16 Mason County turnovers.

Trevor Setty led Mason County with 25 points and seven rebounds. Setty connected on six three point baskets. Darius Miller added 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots, and five steals. Russ Middleton chipped in with 14 points including three three point baskets. Ethan King recorded 11 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Stewart led Lexington Catholic with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Vee Sanford added 18 points and six rebounds. Nathan Novosel recorded 11 points and eight rebounds but was limited to 18:15 of playing time due to foul problems.
