Perry County Central (6-7) vs. Paul Dunbar (17-1)

Perry County Central Coach Randy Napier started the following lineup:  5-9 So. D. J. Shepherd, 5-9 Jr. Ashley Neace, 5-10 Sr. Allison Feltner, 5-6 Jr. Cindy Kilburn, and 5-6 Sr. Heather Sturdivant.  Paul Dunbar Coach Mike Sowers countered with 5-7 Sr. Chelsey Johnson, 5-7 Sr. Pilar Walker, 6-1 Sr. Chantelle Pressley, 5-7 Sr. Cameron Howard, and 5-5 Sr. Megan LaRue

Dunbar raced out to a 40-19 halftime lead on their way to a 77-38 victory over Perry County Central.   The Lady Bulldogs played excellent defense, holding Perry County Central guard Heather Sturdivant to 10 points.   Dunbar was able to substitute liberally today with nine players entering the scoring column.   Dunbar 's star 6-0 So. forward Ebony Rowe was unable to play today due to an illness.  

Paul Dunbar' Chantelle Pressley was named Crown Trophy MVP and led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Pilar Walker and Megan LaRue added 14 and 13 points respectively.   Cindy Kilburn and Heather Sturdivant led Perry County Central with 12 and 10 points respectively.   Allison Feltner chipped in with eight points.

Garrard County (3-8) vs. Tates Creek (4-7)

Garrard County Coach Wynn Harris started the following lineup:  5-9 7th grader Kelly Smith, 5-6 Sr. Kasie Prather, 5-11 Jr. Emily Meadows, 5-7 Jr. Hagan Goldey, and 5-6 Fr. Haley Meadows.  Tates Creek Coach Justin Cheatham countered with 5-8 So. Lizza Jonas, 5-6 Sr. Marquis Axtell, 5-11 So. Jasmine Franklin, 5-5 Jr. Betsy Goodin, and 5-5 Jr. Kyleigh Kreyenbuhl

Tates Creek defeated Garrard County 64-57 in overtime.   The game remained close throughout and Garrard County's Hagan Goldey hit two free throws in the closing seconds of regulation to force overtime.   Tates Creek took the early lead in overtime and held on for the victory.  

Lizza Jonas was named Crown Trophy MVP and led the Lady Commodores with 20 points.  Kyleigh Kreyenbuhl added 12 points.  6-0 8th grader Peyton Hisel recorded nine points.  Hagan Goldey led Garrard County with 18 points.  Emily Meadows added 14 points.  Kasie Prather chipped in with nine points.

Danay Fothergill.  Lafayette Coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Kennae Demus, 5-9 Sr. Corin Dunn, 6-0 Sr. Katie Aldrich, 5-6 So. Ali Ross, and 5-5 Jr. Maya Hanatani

Lafayette controlled the boards in a 53-45 victory over Southwestern.   Lafayette shot 37.7% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Southwestern turnovers.  Southwestern shot 35.3% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Warriors connected on five of eight free throws, grabbed 28 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Lafayette turnovers. 

Corin Dunn was named Crown Trophy MVP and led the Lady Generals with 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Ali Ross added 11 points.  Katie Aldrich chipped in with eight points and 11 rebounds.  Stephanie Salyers led Southwestern with 15 points.  Danay Fothergill and Ashley Fowler added nine points each.  Devin Fothergill recorded eight points and eight rebounds.

Shelby County rallied from a 31-25 halftime deficit to defeat Bryan Station 58-47.   The Lady Rockets outscored Bryan Station 16-6 in the final quarter.   Shelby County's comeback was led by Jennica Garitty , who played like a woman possessed in the second half as she scored all 14 of her points in the second half.   Garitty was limited to 17:08 minutes because of early foul woes.  

Shelby County shot 32.3% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Rockets connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 34.5% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on six of 12 free throws, grabbed 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Shelby County turnovers. 

Jennica Garitty led Shelby County with 14 points.  Raechele Gray was named Crown Trophy MVP and recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.  Haleigh LeCompte also tallied 11 points.  Nealy Williams led Bryan Station with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Monique Collier added 11 points.

Henry Clay outscored Nelson County 16-7 in the third quarter in a 73-59 victory.   Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including three of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 28 Nelson County turnovers.  Nelson County shot 45.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 21 of 39 free throws, grabbed 26 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 25 Henry Clay turnovers. 

Gwen Rucker led Henry Clay with 15 points and nine rebounds.  Raven Price added 14 points.  Demetria Nichols was named Crown Trophy game MVP and recorded 11 pointssix assists and three steals.  Samantha Drake led Nelson County with 18 points and five rebounds.  Sarah Beth Gillis added 12 points.
